Monument of Jiangsu Road (Chinese: 江苏路纪念碑) is a monument erected on August 16, 1999 at the east entrance of Jiangsu Road in Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region, China.
History
Jiangsu Road was built on August 27, 1997 as a road supported by Jiangsu Province, as one of the 62 Aid Projects to Tibet. In 2012, the Tibet Autonomous Region commenced its primary flood season. The Lhasa Flood Control and Drought Relief Command concentrated on the Lhasa River's Jiangsu Road Monument section, conducting a thorough inspection of the riverbed. Necessary reinforcements for high-risk sections were comprehensively executed to mitigate potential hazards.
